Caroline Judge Mehta practices in the areas of white collar criminal defense and civil litigation. She has handled numerous antitrust, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, securities, accounting fraud, and mail and wire fraud cases. She also represents clients in civil cases involving complex commercial litigation matters such as products liability, the Lanham Act, and misappropriation of trade secrets. Ms. Mehta’s extensive healthcare law experience includes investigations related to off-label promotion, anti-kickback statutes, and the False Claims Act. A member of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP’s Legal Profession and Ethics Practice, she advises lawyers and law firms on issues such as conflicts of interest and bar admissions and has represented clients in disciplinary proceedings before the D.C. Bar and federal agencies. Ms. Mehta has argued appeals in both state and federal courts.

While at Harvard Law School, Ms. Mehta worked as a research assistant in constitutional law for Professor Laurence Tribe, and she also taught legal research and writing. Following law school, Ms. Mehta clerked for the Honorable Patti B. Saris, United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, from 1999 to 2000. From 2008 until 2010 she served as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center.
