Daniel P. Moylan, an associate in Zuckerman Spaeder LLP’s Baltimore office, works on a range of commercial litigation matters, including cases involving complex intellectual property (IP), legal and accounting malpractice, and securities issues. He has represented numerous companies and individuals in IP litigation concerning copyrighted materials, patented technologies, trademarks, trade secrets, and licensing issues. In 2011, The Best Lawyers in America recognized his work in the area of legal malpractice law.
From 2001 to 2004, Mr. Moylan served as an assistant prosecutor in the Office of the Prosecutor for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (The Hague, The Netherlands). In that role, he briefed and argued matters before the Trial and Appeals Chambers, including in Prosecutor v. Radislav Krstić (IT-98-33A), in which the prosecution secured the conviction of a Bosnian Serb corps commander for his role in the Srebrenica genocide. He previously clerked for the Honorable Beth P. Gesner, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
Mr. Moylan graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1995 and from Georgetown University Law Center in 2000. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Moylan worked as a software programmer for a federal contractor.
