Joshua Heller concentrates his practice on white collar criminal litigation and general civil litigation. Prior to joining Zuckerman Spaeder, he was an Enforcement Attorney in the Office of General Counsel for the Federal Election Commission, where he investigated violations of federal campaign finance laws.
In addition, Mr. Heller clerked for the Honorable Lacey A. Collier, U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Florida. In the summer of 1999, he was a law clerk for the Honorable Kevin Emas, County Judge for the 11th Judicial Circuit of Florida.
He is the author of "Stepping Back to Punt: Favoring Internal Agency Interpretations Over Title IX and Its Regulations," 12 Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy 179 (Fall 2000).
Mr. Heller received his law degree with High Honors and Order of the Coif from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in 2001. In 1999, he received the "First-Year Student of the Year" award from the University of Florida American Bar Association. He graduated with Highest Honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida, where he received a bachelor’s degree in Rhetorical Studies in 1998. He is also a member of Florida Blue Key and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Mr. Heller is admitted to practice in Florida and the District of Columbia.
