Sean P. Vitrano focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. He has represented individuals and businesses in matters involving tax evasion, false statements, economic espionage, money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act violations, visa and immigration fraud, and insider trading. He also has represented clients in criminal appeals to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and in a variety of administrative proceedings involving regulatory violations where licensure or civil penalties are at stake.
Prior to joining Zuckerman Spaeder, Mr. Vitrano served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard D. Bennett, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and practiced law at Miles & Stockbridge P.C. in Baltimore.
Mr. Vitrano has lived in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Austria and has traveled extensively worldwide. He earned his bachelor's degree in German and political science from the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom in 1993. He earned his law degree, magna cum laude, from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2001. There, he served as an Associate Editor for the Dickinson Journal of International Law and a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board.
Mr. Vitrano is admitted to practice in Maryland.
