Robert Hearn, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, focuses his practice on complex civil litigation. He has represented clients in SEC enforcement actions, the defense of complicated legal malpractice claims and the prosecution and defense of claims arising from the malfeasance of corporate officers and directors. He has also represented multiple investors in a successful suit to recover money stolen by a mutual fund advisor. In addition, Mr. Hearn represents clients in complex white collar federal criminal matters, including investigations and prosecutions of environmental crimes, telemarketing, and financial institution fraud before federal appellate courts.

Before joining Zuckerman Spaeder, Mr. Hearn served as a clerk to U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Pizzo, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida. He began his legal career at a Tampa-based environmental litigation firm where he counseled clients on waste management issues, criminal environmental matters, clean up and abatement of hazardous waste sites, and environmental liabilities arising from real estate transactions.

Mr. Hearn is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Federal Bar Association. He is the co-author of "RCRA: An Update on Regulatory and Legislative Reforms and Recent Judicial Actions," Environmental Management Review, Spring 1996, and "CERCLA: Update on Recent Administrative and Legislative Reforms," Environmental Management Review, Spring 1996.
