Ronald Ravikoff is a nationally recognized business litigator who counsels corporations and their officers and directors on a broad range of business and litigation issues including antitrust, securities litigation, and business torts. With more than thirty years experience, he understands that litigation is often only one aspect of a business dispute. He knows his clients’ business and seeks creative and cost effective solutions that address the issue at hand while keeping long-term business implications in focus.
Mr. Ravikoff has represented major banks and financial institutions, hotels and resorts, real estate developers, retailers, health care groups and providers, and manufacturers in the automotive, shipping, boating, and airline industries. He has also represented national broker dealers in non-compete litigation, as well as attorneys and accountants in allegations of malpractice, particularly those involving securities fraud issues. His clients have included Turnberry Country Club, SPX Corporation, HCA Inc., Port of Miami Terminal Operating Corp., Premier Cruise Lines, and McGladrey & Pullen, LLP.
Mr. Ravikoff has appeared in federal, state and appellate courts throughout the country, and has participated in numerous mediations and arbitrations. Mr. Ravikoff is a member of the firm’s three-person national executive committee and partner-in-charge of the firm’s Miami office. He is listed in Chambers & Partners America’s Leading Lawyers for his antitrust practice, was recently named one of Florida’s Legal Elite by Florida Trend Magazine, and has been recognized in the South Florida Legal Guide since its inception.
Active in the community, Mr. Ravikoff serves as President of the University of Miami Citizen’s Board and is a member of the University’s Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the Board of Governors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, former chairman of its Senior Executive Orientation program, and a member of the Cornell University Council.
