ZUCKERMAN SPAEDER NAMED TOP FIVE LITIGATION BOUTIQUE BY THE AMERICAN LAWYER

As a former federal prosecutor and as a private practitioner, Mr. Weinberg has a reputation of handling the most difficult and complex civil and criminal cases. As a federal prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, Mr. Weinberg was the lead counsel in U.S. vs. Marc Rich, et al., one of the largest tax evasion cases in U.S. history. In private practice, he has represented numerous corporations and individuals in a variety of white collar criminal investigations and civil matters. Most recently, he was one of the lead lawyers in the defense of Columbia HCA, the largest health care fraud investigations ever. Mr. Weinberg has had great success over the years achieving non-criminal dispositions for major clients and winning high-profile cases. He successfully defended a retired four-star general in a six-month federal defense contractor fraud trial and achieved the dismissal of criminal charges against the Church of Scientology, in one of the only criminal cases ever brought against a religion.

Mr. Weinberg is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. From 1975 to 1979, he practiced as a trial lawyer with Powell Goldstein Frazier & Murphy in Atlanta. From 1979 to 1985, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, where he prosecuted numerous white collar criminal matters. Since July 1991, Mr. Weinberg has been the partner in charge of the Tampa office of Zuckerman Spaeder LLP.
