Elizabeth Taylor is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on civil, criminal, and appellate litigation. She recently argued cases in federal and state court in New York on behalf of the Oneida Indian Nation of New York. She is part of a team of Zuckerman Spaeder lawyers representing Kenneth Langone in a civil suit in New York state court brought by Attorney General Elliot Spitzer; she also is part of a team defending a multi-count RICO prosecution in the District of Delaware. Ms. Taylor wrote pretrial and appellate briefs in the District Court and the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in U.S. v. Welch, and a brief amicus curiae in the U.S. Supreme Court in Grutter v. Bollinger and Gratz v. Bollinger.

Ms. Taylor served as law clerk to the Honorable Frank M. Coffin, then Chief Judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit. The following year, she served as law clerk to the Honorable Harry A. Blackmun, then Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. From 1984 to 1992, Ms. Taylor worked as a staff attorney for the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, handling numerous cases at the trial and appellate levels. In 1992, Ms. Taylor was appointed to the Adjunct Faculty of the Georgetown Law Center, where she taught several courses in Criminal Law. From 1994 to 1995, Ms. Taylor worked as an Associate Independent Counsel on the investigation of former Secretary of Agriculture Mike Espy.

She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit.
