Lynn F. Kaufmann's practice focuses on complex business litigation, including claims arising out of corporate governance disputes, intellectual property and trade secrets matters, thrift industry regulation, government contract matters, and construction industry disputes.
After practicing law in San Francisco for several years, Ms. Kaufmann joined Zuckerman Spaeder in 1995 and was elected partner in 2001. She received her J.D. in 1990 from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California at Berkeley, where she was a member of the Order of the Coif.
In 1979, Ms. Kaufmann earned a Ph.D. in the history of art from the University of Pennsylvania. Before entering law school, she taught art history at Amherst College and the University of Rhode Island, and she published a book on 16th century prints.
She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and California (where she is currently inactive), as well as in the federal district courts for the District of Columbia and the Northern District of California, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the Courts of Appeal for the District of Columbia and Ninth Circuits.
