Mary Peters focuses her practice on white collar criminal defense and complex civil litigation. She has represented clients in a number of federal criminal and civil investigations, including investigations of securities fraud, violations of the False Claims Act, environmental crimes, and perjury and false statements to government agents. Ms. Peters has also represented clients in federal and state securities, employment discrimination, and legal malpractice actions.
Following law school, Ms. Peters clerked for the Honorable Ellen Segal Huvelle, Superior Court for the District of Columbia, from 1998-1999. Before law school, she worked at the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary on the staff of Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
Ms. Peters is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland. She is a member of the Edward Bennett Williams Inn of Court.
