Jim Sottile’s practice focuses on commercial litigation with particular emphasis on complex ‎bankruptcy and insurance coverage matters. He is an experienced trial lawyer who has tried a ‎wide range of commercial cases, including matters involving fraudulent conveyances, insurance ‎coverage, securities fraud, and professional malpractice. Most recently, Mr. Sottile acted as lead trial counsel for the Official Committee of Unsecured ‎Creditors in the Tribune Company competing plan proceedings. He has represented the ‎London Insurance Market in insurance coverage litigation involving asbestos, pollution, and lead ‎paint claims for twelve years. Mr. Sottile has also represented the Lloyd’s Underwriters reinsured by Equitas in major settlements of insurance coverage claims involving asbestos, pollution and a wide variety of other exposures.

Mr. Sottile has been named a notable insurance ‎practitioner in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Business Lawyers since 2005, and he was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in 2011.‎
