R. Miles Clark practices in the areas of civil litigation, white collar ‎criminal defense, and appellate litigation. He has represented corporate ‎executives and other individuals in government investigations, criminal ‎proceedings, and civil litigation involving allegations of securities and ‎accounting fraud, bank fraud, health care fraud, and Foreign Corrupt ‎Practices Act (FCPA) violations. Mr. Clark is also involved in the firm’s ‎Native American practice, which involves nationally significant litigation ‎and political disputes with regard to land claims, trust land, gaming, and ‎tax disputes.‎

Mr. Clark was a law clerk to the Honorable Ellen Segal Huvelle and to ‎the Honorable William B. Bryant, both of the U.S. District Court for the ‎District of Columbia. A 2003 graduate of Georgetown University Law ‎Center, Mr. Clark was a notes editor for the Georgetown Law Journal. ‎He received his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University.‎

    Experience

    • Represents the former CFO of one of the world’s largest financial ‎institutions against allegations arising from a multibillion dollar ‎accounting restatement. This representation has encompassed ‎multiple investigations, a government enforcement action for civil ‎money penalties, employment litigation, and shareholder securities ‎fraud suits.‎
    • Represents the former CEO of a health care services organization in ‎a grand jury investigation concerning Medicare billings.‎
    • Represents the CEO of a multinational company in ongoing FCPA ‎investigations.‎
