Chambers USA Recognizes 15 Zuckerman Spaeder Attorneys; Firm is Nationally Ranked in Financial Services Category Two Years in a Row

The 2015 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business recognized 15 Zuckerman Spaeder LLP attorneys in seven categories. For the second year in a row, the firm was nationally recognized in the Financial Services Regulation: Banking (Enforcement and Investigations) category. In addition, the firm’s Washington, DC office was recognized in the General Commercial and White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations categories, as well as the Bankruptcy/Restructuring category; the New York office was ranked in the Litigation: White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations category; the Tampa office was recognized in the White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations category; and the Baltimore office was recognized in the General Commercial category.

Chambers USA recognized the firm’s Washington, DC office for its “noted strength in depth across the firm, with a large number of distinguished former prosecutors,” as well as its “excellent handling of multifaceted investigations, offering particular experience in representing individuals in criminal proceedings.” The guide highlighted a case where the firm “represented the former director of the IRS Exempt Organizations Office, Lois Lerner, in government investigations concerning applications for tax-exempt status.”

The firm’s Baltimore office was commended by Chambers USA for its “particular strength in intricate class action cases, encompassing Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Medicaid and securities fraud statutes.” Additionally, Chambers USA acknowledged the firm’sTampa office for being “especially experienced in healthcare and securities fraud litigation.”

Chambers USA also recognized the firm’s New York office for its “significant experience in handling matters such as False Claims Act investigations and tax evasion issues,” and commended its “notable reputation for courtroom strength, drawing on broad civil and criminal litigation expertise.”
