Thomas G. Macauley opened Zuckerman Spaeder LLP’s Wilmington office in 2000. He works with distressed companies both in and outside of Bankruptcy Court and represents debtors as well as creditors and purchasers. He also represents clients in complex civil litigation, often relating to the Delaware General Corporation Law. He appears regularly in federal and state courts in Delaware, as well as in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Macauley’s background in international commodities trade—he worked as a New York shipbroker for several years before beginning law school—established a foundation for later work in business and corporate law. Following law school, he clerked for Judge John M. Duhé Jr., U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Wilmington prior to joining Zuckerman Spaeder.
