Aitan Goelman concentrates his practice on white collar criminal litigation, complex class action litigation, and commercial litigation. He has recently represented an executive accused of violating the federal export control laws and a partner in a major accounting firm in connection with an investigation into the development and marketing of tax shelters. Civilly, he has litigated various cases involving allegations of breach of fiduciary duties. He is resident in the firms Washington, DC office.
Cy Smith concentrates his practice on complex civil and criminal cases where the stakes are high and winning is essential. With more than fifteen years of experience as a trial lawyer, he has represented plaintiffs and defendants in complex securities, products liability, professional malpractice, and business tort cases. He has also represented clients who are witnesses, targets, and defendants in federal investigations and administrative proceedings. He has also tried to verdict a number of multi-month criminal cases in several federal courts. In addition, Smith has handled a wide variety of plaintiff's cases resulting in multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. He is resident in the firm's Baltimore office.
