The American Lawyer Awards: Zuckerman Spaeder is Boutique of the Year Finalist, Partner Aitan Goelman is Litigator of the Year Finalist, Partner Abelson Wins Young Lawyer of the Year

The 2020 American Lawyer Industry Awards have recognized Zuckerman Spaeder in three categories, including naming the firm one of six national finalists for Boutique/Specialty Firm of the Year and naming Washington, D.C. partner Aitan Goelman one of eight finalists for Litigator of the Year. Baltimore partner Adam Abelson was named one of just five winners of the Young Lawyer of the Year award.

According to The American Lawyer, the finalists and winners “exemplify the exceptional ways the legal industry advises and innovates.” The winners in all categories will be announced at a virtual awards ceremony January 14, 2021.

The recognitions come at a time in which the full range of Zuckerman Spaeder’s litigation prowess has been on display. In the last two years, the firm notched important wins for high-profile individuals, achieved justice for tens of thousands of insureds who were denied health coverage, advanced health policy in lawsuits against the government, and more. These accomplishments demonstrate the firm’s ability to succeed in a wide variety of cases, and they highlight Zuckerman Spaeder’s use of creative and effective legal strategies.

The accomplishments have also led to numerous legal honors over the last year. These have included awards from The National Law Journal, which named Zuckerman Spaeder a D.C. Litigation Department of the Year and Partner Caroline Reynolds a Winning Litigator, and from Law360, which gave the firm three Practice Group of the Year awards in White Collar, Health Care and Benefits, and gave MVP awards to partners Bill Schultz and D. Brian Hufford.
