Mark W. Foster Named a Finalist for “Top Washington Lawyer” by Washington Business Journal

On July 30, 2009, Zuckerman Spaeder LLP partner Mark W. Foster was named one of four finalists in the corporate litigation category of Washington Business Journal’s annual “Top Washington Lawyer” awards. Every year, a Washington Business Journal panel of local legal industry experts evaluates nominations to identify the area’s top lawyers in 17 areas of practice.

Mr. Foster represents and counsels law firms and lawyers on professional ethics and legal malpractice matters, disciplinary cases, bar admissions, unauthorized practice problems, partnership questions, real estate leases, and bank financing. He advises law firm managing partners, general counsels, and administrators concerning ethics compliance programs, conflicts of interest, trust accounting, lateral recruiting and hiring, and lawyer departures. In the last year, Mr. Foster has worked on cases involving numerous Washington, DC law firms as both plaintiffs and defendants. In December 2008, he won an important victory against Blackwater Security Consulting on behalf of Wiley Rein LLP.
