Seventeen Zuckerman Spaeder LLP Attorneys Recognized in Seven Categories by Chambers USA

The 2014 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business recognized 17 Zuckerman Spaeder LLP attorneys in seven categories. The firm was recognized nationally in the Financial Services Regulation: Banking (Enforcement and Investigations) category. Additionally, the firm’s Washington, DC office was ranked in the Litigation: General Commercial, Litigation: White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations, and Bankruptcy/Restructuring categories; the New York office was ranked in the Litigation: White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations category; the Tampa office was ranked in the Litigation: White-Collar Crime and Government Investigations category; and the Baltimore office was ranked in the Litigation: General Commercial category.

Chambers USA recognized the firm’s Washington, DC office “for its strength in a variety of bankruptcy work that includes representation of debtors, individual creditors, creditor committees and trustees, as well as litigation that involves fraudulent conveyance claims,” while also noting the office’s “[d]istinguished white-collar practice with longstanding experience representing individuals in government enforcement actions, Congressional investigations and criminal prosecutions.” The guide highlighted a case in which the office secured a class action settlement worth more than $40 million for 48,000 consumers, as well as the firm’s work in a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act matter on behalf of the former chief financial officer of a European telecommunications company.

In recognizing the firm’s Baltimore office, Chambers USA commended the office’s “experience in white-collar criminal cases, government investigations, civil litigation, class actions and regulatory compliance issues.” And in its recognition of the firm’s Tampa office and its white-collar practice, Chambers USA noted the office’s “experience in criminal and regulatory matters in the healthcare industry,” highlighting in particular that the firm is often “retained by the directors and officers of banks subject to government investigations.”

Chambers USA also recognized the firm’s New York office as an “increasing presence in the New York white-collar space,” and highlighted the office’s “[e]xtensive experience in handling government and regulatory investigations for high-profile executives and corporate entities.”
