Blair G. Brown Elected to Board of Directors of National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL)

Washington - Zuckerman Spaeder is pleased to announce that Blair G. Brown has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL).

A partner at Zuckerman Spaeder LLP, in Washington, DC, Brown focuses his practice on white collar criminal defense throughout the country. Before joining the firm in 1988, he served five years as a staff attorney and supervisor at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. Brown has been a member of NACDL since 1996 and served as the D.C. Circuit vice-chair of the NACDL Amicus Curiae Committee for two and a half years.

"I am excited about NACDL's white collar crime initiative, which has the potential to significantly expand NACDL's membership and influence," Brown said. "It should come as no surprise to NACDL members that Congress and prosecutors overreach when it comes to business crimes, just as they do with drug and street crimes. I believe that the battles against overcriminalization and draconian sentences in business crimes will benefit all criminal defendants."
