Shawn Naunton Named an Employment Law Trailblazer by The National Law Journal

Zuckerman Spaeder LLP is pleased to announce that The National Law Journal (NLJ) has named partner Shawn P. Naunton as a 2023 Employment and Discrimination Law Trailblazer. The award recognizes legal professionals who are agents of change in their practice area.

Mr. Naunton is an experienced and skilled litigator who frequently represents high-profile leaders and executives facing both legal and public scrutiny. His trailblazing work has allowed numerous clients to put their legal battles behind them, step out of the spotlight, and move on.

Mr. Naunton reflected on his work and the recognition, saying, “My clients often are navigating the toughest professional and personal challenges of their lives under intense external pressures. I am driven by the opportunity to alleviate these burdens on my clients by translating an understanding of their priorities and my knowledge and experience into a holistic game plan that delivers both relief and success.”

Mr. Naunton has extensive experience leading high-stakes and complex cases. His work has included the successful defense of former International Monetary Fund Chairman Dominique Strauss-Kahn; the successful defense of the former CEO of a prominent global restaurant chain; the complete vindication in the face of New York and federal investigations for the former CEO of New York’s largest non-profit; and a trial victory for former Integral Systems officer Gary Prince, which Legal Times called a “resounding loss” for the government. He also represented a former Nano executive against a class action lawsuit alleging fraud and a South Korean businessman living in New York, facing extradition based on embezzlement charges.
